James “Jim” Gordon Lang of Red Deer, Alberta passed away at the Red Deer Hospice on Sunday, October 26,  2025 at the age of 91 years.

Born in Spanish, Ontario on February 27, 1934, Jim joined the Royal Canadian Air Force at the age of 18 and served for 5 years. While stationed in Penhold, Alberta he met his future wife Lavila. They married in 1958, settled in Red Deer and went on to raise 3 children together. A daughter Maureen, and two sons, Clifford and Mark. 

Jim co-owned and operated Allied T.V. for over two decades. Upon retirement he and Lavila travelled to many far-off places around the globe. 

Jim was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved sailing and working with his hands. He was skilled in woodworking and all things electronics and could often be found in his shop with a project on the go. 

Though he will be sorely missed, Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 67 years, Lavila; daughter Maureen; sons Clifford and Mark (Caroline); 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews as well as their children and numerous other family members. Jim was predeceased by his parents and siblings.

A Celebration of Life for Jim will be held on July 26, 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Pioneer's Lodge, 4324 46a Ave, Red Deer, AB. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alberta Fish and Game Association / Alberta Wildlife Federation.
