Anita Christine Smith of Red Deer AB, passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on April 10, 2026, at the age of 58 years. Christine was born on January 1, 1968, at the Lacombe Hospital and raised on a farm on the east side of Mirror AB. At home, Christine helped her mom a lot in looking after her siblings. She graduated high school and then went on to do Home Care Nursing which she enjoyed greatly. Christine is survived by her son David Smith; two brothers David Smith and Robert Smith; sisters Sharon Smith, Sarah Black and Mary Anne Hayguard; parents Robert and Loree as well as numerous extended family members and friends. A graveside service will take place in the Fairview Cemetery, Woodland Drive, Lacombe AB on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 1:00 pm.  Condolences to Christine’s family may be emailed to meaningful@telus.net.
