Obituary of Sharon Lynne Marie L'Hirondelle

Sharon Lynn Marie L’Hirondelle passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on January 20, 2021 with her loving husband, Dolphus (Alec), by her side.

Sharon was born on February, 13, 1948 at Westlock, Alberta, the eldest daughter of Elmer and Victoria (Larocque) Naslund. On October 23, 1965 she and Dolphus were married at Sacred Heart Church in Red Deer. Although Sharon lived in various places in her life, ultimately Red Deer was her home. Her family have roots in the community going back nearly 150 years.

In 1978, Sharon started work at the Red Deer and District Museum. She loved her job and the people she worked with. They in turn loved and respected her. Consequently, Sharon remained at the Museum until her retirement.

Sharon was predeceased by her father and mother, Elmer and Vicky, her brothers Cleo and Terry, and her sister Valerie Naslund. She is survived by her loving husband Dolphus/Alec, and a very large extended family.

Private family interment has taken place. Meaningful Memorials Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.

“To my dearest wife Sharon. I know you aren’t here but I can feel your presence. I cherished your life-long friendship with me. I will keep you with me and use your strength and wisdom in my lifetime”

Sharon wanted us to spend every precious time together. I am the person I am today because of her. I endured a lot of pain in the last month. It was heart breaking. She now rests in peace – suffering no more pain. She will be the Angel on my shoulder. She told me that.

With all my love.
