Obituary of Oren Wayne Stoddard
Oren Wayne Stoddard or Red Deer County passed away at the Rimbey Hospital on January 12, 2025, at the age of 76 years.
Oren was born on April 6th, 1948, in Woodstock, New Brunswick. He moved to Red Deer, Alberta in 1976. Oren was a journeyman carpenter and mechanic. He worked as a mechanic at Dick’s Auto and Truck Repair for 30 years. After retirement Oren would go to A&W at Gasoline Alley and hangout with buddies for coffee/breakfast seven days a week.
Oren married Wanda Stoddard (Jackson) in July of 1978 and had two sons. This July would have been their 47th wedding anniversary. He loved to hunt, coach hockey, travel to Mississippi, and watch his grandkids play sports.
Oren will be lovingly remembered by his spouse, Wanda Stoddard; sons, Trevor Stoddard (Alison), Darrell Stoddard (Sierra); six grandchildren, Blake, Caden, Kylee, Paisley, Andie-Joe, Jackson; as well as by many nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Oren was predeceased by his parents, Ted and Mildred Stoddard; sister, Carolyn Brooks; mother-in-law, Dora Jackson; brother-in-law, Terry Jackson; and his sister-in-law, Sharon Jackson.
