Carol Joan Anderson Obituary

Carol Anderson (nee Sherman), beloved mother to Jamie (Lori), Heather (Paul), married to Ian Robert Anderson, of Red Deer Alberta, passed away at the Red Deer Hospice on May 3, 2025, leaving a void her family cannot fill.

Carol loved being surrounded by her family and her many friends. She loved her coffee and lunch groups. She was kind and loving and always saw the good in everyone. Carol was devoted to her church, St Leonard’s on the Hill and attended services and volunteered there until she was no longer able. Carol loved and took special joy in spending time with her five grandchildren: Austin, Dylan (Ayla), Landry (Chad), McKenna (Michael), and Tate. Carol was also a proud great grandmother to Leroy.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Olive and Bill and survived by her loving sisters, Judy and Kathie and a brother Bill.  She adored her siblings and visited them regularly in Ontario.

At Carol’s request, there will be no service. Memorial donations may be directed to The Kidney Foundation of Canada, (kidney.ca) in Carol’s name and are greatly appreciated.

Condolences to Carol’s family may be emailed to meaningful@telus.net. Please indicate “Carol Anderson” in the subject line.
