Obituary of Michael Barry O'Driscoll

Michael Barry O’Driscoll of Red Deer, Alberta passed away on April 13, 2025, at the age of 83 years. Michael was born on September 21, 1941, in Liverpool, England. His family emigrated to Edmonton, Alberta when Michael was 15 years old.

In Vancouver, Michael married Bea and had daughter Kerry and son Kevin. There he began his long, very successful career with Sears. In the beginning, Michael supplemented his income by playing semi-pro soccer, shooting pool and playing bridge.

On April 11, 1987, Michael married Joanne. They shared a sense of humour and a love of travel. Michael enjoyed sports, classical and rock music as well as books on history and politics.

Michael will be lovingly remembered by his wife Joanne; daughter Kerry (Wes) Marsnas; brother Brian (Maxine) O’Driscoll; sisters Joan Holloway and Susan (Robert) Allair as well as numerous nieces; nephews; great nieces; great nephews; extended family members and friends.

Michael was predeceased by his parents Donal and Lillian O’Driscoll; son Kevin and brother-in-law Tony Holloway.

In following with Michael’s wishes, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the charity of the donor’s choice.
