Johanna Wilhelmina Larson (nee Bessembinders) passed away peacefully on May 29, 2025, at the age of 80 years following a long illness.

Johanna was born in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands to Jan and Jantje Bessembinders. She immigrated to Canada with her parents and older sister in 1950 and settled in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island, BC.

Johanna married Melford Larson on August 5, 1967, and raised 4 children, Shane, Kyle, Lucinda and Trent.  She loved being a mom and found pure delight in being grandmother to her 5 Grandsons. She was known for her smile, her zealous volunteer work, her generosity and kindness.  She was energetic and vibrant and will be greatly missed.
