Kathleen "Kate" Graydon Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kathleen Graydon on June 10, 2025, at the age of 74. Kathleen “Kate” was born on Augus 19, 1950 in Fernie B.C. to her parents John Edward Graydon and Mary Millicent Graydon.

After Kate was born, her parents and siblings relocated to Stettler, AB, where she began her schooling. Her father worked as a mechanic for several years before the family moved to Williams Lake B.C. Following their return to B.C., Kate faced the loss of her mother in 1968, and at the young age of 18, took on the role of caregiver for her younger siblings. Before leaving Williams Lake to return to Stettler in 2004, she had five children of her own; Edward, Carol, Derrick, Crystal, and Steven. When she did return to Stettler, she started working with her sister Patricia “Pat” at the Salt and Pepper Café.

Over the years Kate held many jobs, always in the service of others; She even joined the Royal Purple for a short time in Williams Lake.

In her spare time, you could find her Kate drawing, making arts and crafts, as well as listening to music or reading a book. Her passion for these hobbies continued until her last breath. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her so dearly.

Kate is lovingly remembered by her five children, Edward Campbell (Deanna Dormuth), Carol Campbell, Derrick Campbell, Crystal (Zachary) Sailor, and Steven Campbell (Alexandra Moore); brother John Edward Graydon Jr.; sister Patricia (Gerald) Hahn; her thirteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; and by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents John Edward Graydon Sr. and Mary Millicent Graydon; brother Steven Graydon; and by her sisters Dean Vanstraten, Bonnie Graydon, Shirley Graydon, Maureen Howard, and Marlene Graydon.
