It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Darlene Marie Coates; loving spouse, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. Darlene passed away at home on July 1, 2025, at the age of 60.

Darlene will be lovingly remembered by her spouse David Common; daughter Chelsea; step-sons Jonathan and Troy Common; brother Mark Coates (Shelley); and by her nieces Riley and Madison. She was predeceased by her parents Ralph and Donna Coates.

Darlene always made an impression on the people she crossed paths with. She was a deeply spiritual person who was always in tune with the world around her.

A celebration of Darlene’s life will be held by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Diabetes Canada. Condolences to Darlene’s family may be emailed to meaningful@telus.net. Please indicate “Coates” in the subject line.
