It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Debbie (Deborah) Swanson at age 72. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones, on August 8, 2025.
Debbie was born February 27th, 1953, in Regina, Saskatchewan. Debbie is survived by her loving husband Tim Swanson; three children, Cynthia, Brycen (Shana), and Amber; grandchildren, Annaliese (Justin), Ashlynn (Zac), Jaden, and Kyler; great-granddaughter Rose; foster daughters Wilma-Dale and Crystal; sisters Lorraine, Susan and Lisa; Brothers Raymond, Robert, and Roland; and by many, many chosen children, family members, and friends.
Debbie is predeceased by her parents, Leo & Pauline; her brother Doug; and her sister Dory.
A Celebration of Debbie’s Life will be held at the Wetaskiwin United Church on August 23, 2025 at 1:00 PM.
Debbie was known for her kindness, compassion, and dedication to many charitable organizations over her lifetime. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be directed to the Friends of Millet Library Society, an advocacy group Debbie volunteered with for many years and held very close to her heart. https://milletlibrary.ca/About-Us/Donations.
