It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lynnette Roder of Sylvan Lake, on September 17, 2025 at the age of 72 years.
Lynnette’s life was filled with music, singing, and creativity. She had a passion for art, crafts, macramé, sun catchers, and jewelry making—always bringing beauty into the world through her hands and her heart. She had a great sense of humor and was a lot of fun. Her wild spirit will always be missed along with her warm hugs.
She is lovingly remembered and survived by sisters Coreen and Charla, and her brother Bill, who will carry her spirit forward in their lives, as well as her nieces and nephews.
A ray of sunshine followed Lynnette into every room she entered. Time spent with her always left others feeling lighter, happier, and inspired. She was a perfectionist in the truest sense—if something wasn’t just right, she would unravel her work down to the very first stitch and start again until it reached her high standard of beauty.
Lynnette’s warmth, creativity, and radiant presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In following with Lynnette’s wishes, a private service will be held at a later date. Condolences to Lynnette’s family may be emailed to meaningful@telus.net . Please indicate “Lynnette Roder” in the subject line.
