Jesse Dean Peterson Obituary

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jesse Dean Peterson on December 1, 2025. Jesse came into this world on March 28th,1983, going immediately into surgery for heart issues. He made it through with flying colors, making newspapers and receiving gifts from numerous organizations for being so strong. Sadly, those issues caught up to him later in his life causing his early passing.

Jesse went through this world with a kindness and child-like soul. He was always asking questions. Always trying to look past the normal everyday. Refusing to accept mediocracy. He had a unique sense of humour that was special to those who knew him. He was loyal to a fault to those he held dear to his heart. He spent his younger years growing up in Leslieville, riding bikes and building tree forts, graduating from David Thompson High School. He spent his adult years in Calgary.

Jesse will be missed by his father and mother Rick and Joan Peterson; brother Dustin (Danielle) Peterson; nephews Brulen and Davin; sister Denise Hills (Shelby); nieces and nephews Aiden, Liam, Ryane, Katelyn Hills as well as numerous aunts, uncles and friends. He is predeceased by his grandmother Ina Peterson; grandfather Richard Peterson; grandfather Bill Cox; grandmother Mona Cox; uncle Jim Cox; aunt Paula Cox and his very dear friend AJ Vonhollen.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to your local food bank or a Heart charity of your choosing. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

I will meet you by the river

If I go before you do

I’m not gone, just gone ahead

Waiting there for you

And I will meet you by the river

And when your time is through

We’ll cross over hand in hand

Cause it’s not Heaven ‘til I’m with you
