Obituary of William Owen Dolan

William “Bill” Owen Dolan of Sundre, passed away on December 11, 2020 in at the Sundre Hospital, Sundre AB at the age of 61 years. Bill was born in 1959 in Calgary, Alberta. He was raised in the Cochrane, Cremona area, moving to the Sundre area in the late sixties. He spent most of his adult life in the Yukon working for the Department of Highways. Bill moved back to Alberta in 2008 . 

He continued his career of truck driving for the remainder of his working years. His family was his biggest treasure. He loved all his nieces and nephews. Nothing brought him greater pleasure than spending time with them. Bill was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend, though Bill will be sadly missed, he will always be in our hearts.

Bill is survived by his mother Ida Dolan of Sundre; brothers Bob Dolan of Whitehorse, Albert (Donnalea) Dolan of Calgary, George (Dallas) Campbell of Fort William UK; sisters Karen (Don) Russell of Caroline, Heather Dolan of Sundre and Holly (Grant) Gordon of Innisfail.

Also to cherish Bill’s memory are his nephews Stuart, Dusty and Aaron Dolan, Steven Kallis, Jason (Rachel) Kallis, Matthew (Nicki) Dolan, Jackson Gordon, George (Marilyn) Campbell, Allan (Anne) Campbell; nieces Denise (Brian) Lester, Kimberly Dolan, Jodi (Terrance) Butler, Stephanie and Kathryn Dolan, Chelsea Dolan as well as numerous great nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his father Joe; brothers Dennis and Tim and nieces Tamara and Joan.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in his name to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, 710,  10123 - 99 St., Edmonton   AB   T5J 3H1.
