Beth was born in Sison, Pangasinan, Philippines in 1954. She worked at St. Louis University in Baguio City, Philippines as a professor until she migrated to Hong Kong before finally settling in Canada to raise her family.

She loved to travel and was always expanding her horizons, learning anything from simple crafts to building a house from the ground up.
