Obituary of Debbie Appleton Nicoll-Singer
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Debbie Appleton Nicoll-Singer announce her passing on March 6, 2021 at the age of 64.
Born to Don and Yvonne Appleton, Debbie received the gift of life in March 1956 in Comox, BC. She was the eldest of three siblings who grew up as “army brats” living in different locations across Canada. This is no doubt where she acquired her gift of being an outgoing person who loved to socialize.
Debbie’s greatest adventures took her to Hawaii, Costa Rica, Uruguay, Turks and Caicos, Mexico and an Alaskan cruise with her best friend Dolores. Our Mom loved the beach, music, getting together with her friends, happy hour on her deck, bargain shopping, hosting her Canada Day breakfasts and making her famous Christmas morning breakfast.
Her greatest love of all was for her family. She was a loving and devoted daughter, proud mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to spoil and spend time with her babies. We loved her as abundantly as we could until the time came that she had to leave us.
Debbie is survived by her children Nolan (Yvonne) and Hayley (Pablo); her Mom and Dad, Don and Yvonne Appleton; brother Stephen Appleton; grandchildren Brianna, Mason, Quinn, Lincoln and Lennox; and great-granddaughter Sparrow. She was predeceased by her brother Greg Appleton, Grandma and Grandpa Short, Uncle Ernie, Lloyd, Bryan, Aunty Dorothy and Ron.
A celebration of Debbie’s life will be held at a later date. Mom will be laid to rest in the Lacombe cemetery along with her family.
“Only a moment you stayed, but what an imprint your footprints have left on our hearts.”
