Obituary of Margaret Elizabeth Schmidek
Margaret Elizabeth Schmidek passed away on August 12, 2021, two days before her 97th Birthday. Margaret was born in 1924 in Dunmore, Alberta. Her parents, Daniel and Anna, emigrated from Germany before the First World War. Margaret was predeceased by her father Daniel in 1969 and her mother Anna in 1976. She was also predeceased by her one brother and seven sisters. Margaret will be lovingly remembered by many, many nieces and nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service for Margaret will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, August 23rd, 2021 at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 18 Selkirk Blvd, Red Deer AB. The family would like to thank Dr. James McIntyre for the many years he cared for Margaret and to the angels at Red Deer Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 18 Selkirk Blvd, Red Deer AB T4N 0G2 or to the Red Deer Hospice Society, 99 – Arnot Ave. Red Deer AB T4R 3S6.
