Obituary of Kevin Randle Loren
Kevin Randle Loren of Fort Saskatchewan Alberta, passed away at home on November 21st, 2022, at the age of 28.
Kevin was born on January 25th, 1994, in the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton Alberta, and grew up in both Bruderheim and Fort Saskatchewan with two brothers and a sister where he made so many friends that ultimately became family. As a teenager, Kevin had a habit of bringing home wayward friends and animals as a result, we had a great many pets and extended family. Kevin was a “social butterfly” it didn’t really matter where he was, he made a friend, if you left him alone at the table by the time you came back you could guarantee the table beside had joined your party and you knew Kevin had just instantly made another new friend for life.
Kevin was so positive it was rare to see him upset, his genuine smile, laugh and big heart will be remembered and missed by all. He had a great many loves and interests, he would ride or drive anything with a motor, many of us remember pulling some quad, dirt bike or snowmobile out of the places Kevin liked to get stuck regularly. He loved his music, it was always on, he would take over the radio in any home he walked into, his most spoken sentence was “hey man, you gotta hear this song”.
Kevin was quite the late-night amateur chef and loved making, sometimes questionable dinners for his loved ones out of anything and everything he could find in the fridge, but his absolute favorite pastime was hanging out with friends and family by a firepit somewhere, beer in hand. If you smelled wood smoke in town, you knew Kevin was having a fire in the backyard, everyone was always welcome, no invites required.
Kevin learned from his aunt “Friends are the family you choose for yourself” and he lived that truth. Kevin is deeply loved and survived by his parents Laura Anderson- Loren, Clancy Kevin Loren, Stepfather James Blakey, Brothers Christian A Loren and Clancy T Loren, Sister Lynda D Loren, brother-in-law Duncan MacDairmid, Stepbrothers Justin and Brandon Blakey, Nephew Lincoln Loren, Nieces Lyla Loren and Sophie MacDairmid, numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins and of course friends with a special mention to Tammie Roberts. Kev was predeceased by his Aunts Michelle Anderson and Jenifer Larson, Uncle John Loren, cousin Kyle Pattison, Maternal Grandparents Lynda and Randy Anderson and Paternal Grandparents Audrey and Albert Loren.
On behalf of the family, we wish to thank everyone for the lovely messages, condolences and stories that reminds us that Kevin was truly loved, “today, tomorrow, forever, for always”.
A Celebration of Life will be held on December 11th 2022 at the Bruderheim Memorial Hall at 12:30pm.
