Obituary of Doris Mary O'Brien
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Doris Mary O’Brien (Boutilier) beloved mother, grandmother, and friend.
Born January 8 1947, Doris leaves behind a legacy of love and happiness. She will be remembered for her sparkling smile and laugh, her endless devotion and total acceptance of her family and friends. Doris was the first to say, one does not choose who they love or who they are.
Doris was a loving Christian; her love of the Bible was evident in her daily life. She was always eager to share her favorite bible verses on Facebook. Her daily devotions brought her much comfort.
Doris enjoyed solving word search puzzles, a passion that kept her mind sharp and her spirits high.
But what truly set Doris apart was her infectious smile and warm heart. No matter the situation, she always had a kind word to offer and never hesitated to let those close to her know just how much she loved them.
Her love and kindness touched the lives of everyone she encountered, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
May she rest in peace and may her memory live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
Doris is survived by her 4 children, Clarence O’Brien, Margaret ‘Liz’ Creighton, Fred O’Brien and Sinead O’Brien; her eight Grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and many other relatives and dear friends.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Doris’s life will be held at a later date. Condolences to Doris’s family may be emailed to meaningful@telus.net. Please indicate “O’Brien” in the subject line.
