Obituary of Angela Driver
Angela Driver of Blackfalds, passed away at the Lacombe Hospital and Care Center, on April 11, 2023 at the age of 59 years, following a courageous and lengthy fight against glioblastoma under the care of the amazing staff of the Lacombe Hospital.
Angela was born in Barrow-In-Furness, England, where she was raised until immigrating to Canada as a teenager with her parents and brother. Angela’s true passions in life were her family and friends. Those that knew her would remember her love of elephants, Disney, a good cup of tea, and Lay’s potato chips. Angela will be remembered for her enduring optimism, fierce love, stubbornness, and the compassion she showed to those in her life (both two-legged and four-legged). Throughout her life and career Angela forged many deep connections, often leading to friendships that stood the test of time and distance. Angela will be dearly missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Angela will be lovingly remembered by her parents Hugh and Lillian Driver; her brother Allan (Michelle), her sons Cory (Maggie) and Shane (Cait); her four grandchildren, Adam, Mikaela, Natalia, and Jackson; as well as her nephews Jesse & Jarrid and her niece Becky.
A private celebration of life will be determined in the future. A memorial bench with a dedication to Angela is located on Lakeshore Drive in Sylvan Lake, AB. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to The Lacombe Palliative Care Society through their website at www.lacombepalliativecare.com, or the Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada through their website at www.braintumour.ca. Condolences to Angela’s family may be emailed to meaningful@telus.net. Please indicate “Driver” in the subject line.
