Obituary of Annie Lillian Dzuba
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that the loving family of Ann Dzuba (Seper) announce her passing on April 7, 2023 at the age of 78 years.
Ann, also known as Annie, of Red Deer, Alberta passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She fought long and hard, and defied all odds. Her strength and determination was an inspiration to all. It seems rather fitting that Ann would pass on Good Friday; it has been said that one who passes on this day is assured of entering a restful state straight into Heaven immediately upon reaching the world of souls. It is also significant to note that Ann’s mother also passed away on Good Friday in 1977. Likely not a coincidence.
Ann was born in Bienfait, Saskatchewan, the youngest of four children. Ann married Ronald William Dzuba on February 23, 1963 and raised 5 children together, all born by the time Ann was 26 years old. They celebrated 56 years of marriage together and this year would have been their 60th anniversary. Ann's children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her life and her greatest pleasure was spending time with any of them. She was the most supportive, caring, kind, generous and loving Mother that anyone could have ever asked for and her presence will be missed dearly. Ann was loved by all that knew her and her smile warmed the hearts of many. She had a way of making everyone she met feel important and special. Ann never just said “I love you”. It was always “I love you, love you, love you!"
Ann's family wish to thank Dr. Stearn, and the entire Palliative Home Care Team for their kindness, compassion and dignified care of their beloved Mother.
Ann is survived by her daughter Sherry Dzuba (Brent Horsnett); son Curtis Dzuba (Syleasa) and their children Mathew Caron (Melody) and grandchildren Korbyn, Maesyn, Madisyn, Kayden, Macaila, Jesse Caron (Kari) and grandson Kavan, Chasity Caron and grandchildren Landon and Koadie; daughter Ronanne Ashton and her children Cole Ashton (Hannah), Hannah Ashton (Sarah) and granddaughter Juniper; Kory’s son Brock Dzuba (Hailey) and their son Braxton; brother Joe Seper (Muriel); and sister-in-laws Margaret Seper, Sharon Carlson, and Carren Dzuba. Ann was predeceased by her husband Ron, her sons Kory and Kerry, her sister Rose Walliser, her brother Fred Seper, brother-in-laws David Carlson, Jerry Dzuba and Ralph Walliser, her father-in-law & mother-in-law William and Agnes Dzuba, and her beloved parents Teresa & Steven Seper.
In keeping with Ann’s wishes no formal service will be held. A private family memorial will take place next month on the 4th anniversary of Ann’s husband Ron’s passing. A Celebration of Life for close family will also be held late spring/early summer in Potosi, MO as Ann’s remaining children gather together at the home of her son Curtis and daughter-in-law Syleasa.
We love you more than words can say Mom, “Always and Forever”!!!
Condolences to Ann’s family may be emailed to meaningful@telus.net. Please indicate “Dzuba” in the subject line.
