Obituary of Sandra Grace MacMillan

Sandra Grace MacMillan passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Center in Red Deer AB on April 10 2023 at the age of 75 years.

Sandra was born on May 16, 1947 in Islay AB to Earl and Marion Williams. She was the first of six children.  Sandra lived mostly in central Alberta with a number of years up in Yellowknife.  

Sandra loved to travel, including the Arctic to the Caribbean and from one side of Canada to the other. She lived for being with family and friends and has 10,000 pictures to prove it as you could always find her with her camera. Sandra was passionate about her work, her lawn and her yard. Most of her life was working at different town offices and also spent a number of decades with Canada Post. For a retirement hobby, Sandra learned belly dancing and clogging.

Sandra was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her son Darren; three grandchildren Kaiel, Alexander and Ethan; two sisters, Sharon Bryan, Betty (Bill) Ogden; three brothers Cliff (Annie) Williams, Ross (Chris) Williams, and Dave (Shirley) Williams and aunt Iris as well as numerous other family members and friends. Sandra was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Sandra’s will be held at the Erskine Evangelical Free Church, 15 – Main St. Erskine AB on June 17, 2023 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be sent to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 1400, 522 – University Ave., Toronto ON M5G 2R5.
