David Michael Hoggan of Calgary, Alberta, passed away on June 30, 2023, at the age of 36.

David was born in Nanaimo B.C. to Marlene Hoggan-McIvor on September 6, 1986. He was raised in Alix, Alberta, by Sid and Eileen Hilsabeck. He attended the Alix MAC School for all of his schooling.

David is survived by his parents Sid and Eileen Hilsabeck and biological mother Marlene Hoggan-McIvor, as well as his two sons Dominyk and Blaize Hoggan. He will also be missed by his brother Chris Hoggan; sisters Lisa Hilsabeck and Loretta (Cam) Allen; as well as by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends. He was predeceased by his biological father Malcom McIvor.

A Memorial Service to celebrate David’s life will be held at the Alix Community Hall on Monday, July 10, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences to David’s family may be emailed to meaningful@telus.net. Please indicate “Hoggan” in the subject line.
