Kenneth Scott

Obituary of Kenneth Fredrick Scott

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Kenneth Fredrick Scott, also known as Rocket and Scotty, of Red Deer, passed away in his home on July 16, 2023, at the age of 66 years.

Ken was born to Kenneth and June in 1956 in Gladstone, Manitoba. Ken was a driver at heart, whether it was for one of his numerous jobs or his love of motorcycles, which he found at a young age. Throughout his life he was a member of many clubs, raising awareness or funds for many different charities and causes. One of the ones closest to his heart was the charity Ride for the NIC Unit in Red Deer Hospital, with Big Hearts. Ken enjoyed a good laugh and making people smile, whether it was a smile and a wink, a joke, or a funny story, or even being Santa to so many.

He will be sorely missed by so many people he has touched with his generosity, kindness, smile, and great sense of humour.

Ken leaves behind his girlfriend Kim Robinson, his children that were his pride and joy, all of which he loved dearly and was proud of each one: Alex (Sheila) and grandson Cameron, Evelyn, K.C (Carley) and granddaughter Kaiya; and C.J, and Sara. He is also survived by his mother June; sisters Valerie and Audrey; brother Trevor; as well as by numerous nephews, nieces, and friends. He was predeceased by his father Kenneth Scott in 2008.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Ken’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Big Hearts Charity Ride of Red Deer in Ken’s name. Condolences to Ken’s family may be emailed to meaningful@telus.net. Please indicate “Scott” in the subject line.
