Obituary of Shelley Ann Giese

Shelley Ann Giese of Red Deer AB, passed away at the Red Deer Hospice on August 7, 2023 at the age of 59 years. Shelley was born in 1964 in Regina SK, the oldest of three.  Shelley and her husband Ron were married on September 6, 1986.  While living in Saskatchewan, Shelley loved her family and friends but missed them dearly as they moved to Alberta to begin their new lives. 

Her most cherished times included camping with family and friends and trips to Mexico, St. Marteen, Germany, and Aruba, just to name a few.  Shelley’s lifelong passion was in retail – starting at Star Egg in Regina then when they moved to Red Deer, she started working at Home Hardware.

Shelley’s strong belief in the Lord carried her through the highs and the lows of life, including her courageous battle with brain cancer.

Shelley will be lovingly remembered by her husband Ron; son Mattew (Brittany) Giese; two grandchildren Payton and Oaklee; one brother Trevor McIntyre; one sister Dana McIntyre (Craig); father Charlie McIntyre; nephews Jacob and MacKenzie; niece Courtney as well as other extended family members and numerous friends. She was predeceased by her mother Leona McIntyre and father and mother-in-law Arnold and Alice Giese.

A funeral service will be held in the Chapel of the CrossRoads Church, (SW corner of 32 St and highway 2), 38105 Range Road 275, Red Deer County, AB on Monday, August 14, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. For those wishing to attend, please use the north east chapel entrance.

Memorial donations may be directed to the Red Deer Hospice Society, 99 - Arnot Avenue, Red Deer   AB   T4R 3S6. Flowers may be directed to CrossRoads Church, (SW corner of 32 St and highway 2), 38105 Range Road 275, Red Deer County, AB.
