Obituary of Colin Duane Ebertz

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Colin Ebertz on July 27, 2023, at the Red Deer Hospice at the age of 49.

Colin was born in 1974 in Edmonton. He graduated high school in Red Deer and made it his home. Colin worked for New West Freightliner as a Parts Technician for over 22 years. He married the love of his life, Dayna, in Las Vegas, NV on June 28, 2022.

Colin is survived by his wife Dayna and her children Dominick, Nadali, and Tara; his son Josh Koger-Ebertz; parents John and Fay Ebertz; sister Heather (Wade) Foord; brother Darryl (Luciane) Ebertz; his niece Alyssa Foord; his nephew Eric Foord; as well as by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends and colleagues.

He will forever be remembered for his love of travel, his passion for NASCAR and NFL and NHL. Colin’s team, the Las Vegas Knights, won the cup for him this year.

Colin would often say to take a breath and all will work out, Dayna loved him so much for that.
