Obituary of George Alexander Lang

George Alexander Lang passed away on September 10, 2023 in Red Deer, Alberta. George was born in Calgary, Alberta on July 27, 1945. As a young man he spent his time learning mechanics and woodworking until he naturally accomplished his journeyman as a motorcycle mechanic. This was George’s passion along with raising his family. George was a man of many skills and talents, including motocross, hunting, fishing, black powder rifles, woodworking, and mechanics.

 

Geroge is survived by his wife Linda; grandchildren Brittanee McGuire (Shawn), Matthew Fewchuk (Jessie); great grandchildren Kaci, Nic, Lyla, and Emmett; and by his seven brothers and sisters Bryan, Clark (Heather), Cameron (Deb), Annette (David), Connie (Joe), Kevin (Gloria), and Kelly (Laurie). George was predeceased by his parents David and Lucille, his daughter Fiona, and his nephew Michael Lang.

 

The family would like to extend a big thank-you to the Hamlets for the incredible care in George’s last days. A service to celebrate George’s life will be held by friends and family at a later date.
