Obituary of Eddy Ernie Meckler

Eddy Ernie Meckler of Red Deer AB, passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on October 7, 2023 at the age of 91 years.

Eddy was born and raised near Alliance, Alberta. In the mid 60’s, Eddy and his wife Ethel moved to Bashaw, Alberta, where he set up and ran the town barber until 1977. Eddy was employed in Lacombe at the Lacombe County offices and drove school bus. He retired to Red Deer where he resided until his passing. Shadow and Milo will miss him dearly.

Eddy will be lovingly remembered by his son Paul Meckler; daughter Mona Simpson; five grandchildren; one great grandchild and sister Geraldine of Kelowna.

He was predeceased by his son Dale Meckler in September of 2011.
