Obituary of Christopher James Gregory

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved son and brother Chris Gregory on Wednesday April 8, 2020 at the age of 39 due to health complications. Chris was born at the foothills Hospital in 1980 in Calgary AB. He attended Bashaw School where he graduated high school in 1999. Chris was an avid movie goer enjoying many films of different genres. He was always up on the latest new and crazes explaining the ins and outs of interesting movie tidbits and trivia. In recent years Chris divulged in the love of gardening. He had an exceptional green thumb, growing delicious vegetables that he shared among his family. Chris was a loving uncle as well. He, a big kid himself, had an amazing connection with his nephew and nieces. He always gave his full attention to them providing him with lively conversations on different characters, toys and games. He was always generous with them giving them gizmos and gadgets but most importantly his time. With his laid back, easy going nature he never sweated the small stuff. Even with ongoing health issues, he was always optimistic, not wanting to worry others. Chris is survived by his mother Colleen Ethier (Darnell); step-father Dave Ethier; brothers Adam (Jennifer) Gregory, Thomas Ethier; sisters Brenna (Travis) Ethier, Holly Gregory and Kristen Gregory. Also to cherish his memory are his grandmother Helen of Ponoka AB; grandfather John Ethier of Camrose AB and numerous loving extended family members and friends. Chris was predeceased by his father Jim Gregory of Calgary; grandfather John and grandmother Barbara of Camrose AB. The family would like to thank his doctors and nurses for their care and compassion along with his knowledgeable and devout pharmacist Sheldon. A celebration of Chris’s life will take place at a later date.
