Obituary of Ronald Courte

Ron Courte of Red Deer, Alberta passed away on March 1, 2024 at the age of 68.

Ron was an amazing man; his huge heart and kind energy left an impression on many. Ron put his whole heart into everything he did and was the hardest worker around. Ron was full of gratitude and generosity, and was the first to offer a helping hand. Ron kept everyone safe and he had a way of knowing that everything would be ok.

Ron spent his working years doing a variety of things including working underground, construction, and crane operation. He found his calling in Life Insurance, founding Courte Insurance and Financial Services, where he served Central Alberta families for many years. As hard as Ron worked, he played. Every weekend was spent out West of town camping and quading in the summer and skidooing in the winter with his family and friends. Ron also loved to travel and enjoyed many trips to far away places as well as around Canada.

Ron's family is so proud of him. The memories and lessons that he left are too numerous to count.

Ron is lovingly remembered by his partner Sharon South; his daughters, Katie Courte (Jeff Sosnowski) and Kyla Courte; his grandchildren Tanner and Maddi; his brothers Hunter and Victor Courte; his sisters, Alanna and Anita Courte, Robin (Doug) Sullivan and Marion (Bob) Cobick; and by his nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday March 24, 2024 at Festival Hall in Red Deer, Alberta between 12:30-3pm. A second Celebration will be held in June with more details to follow.
