Leonard Albert "Len" Wright Obituary

Leonard Wright of Red Deer passed away at the Mazankowski Institute, Edmonton, on July 24, 2024, at the age of 78 years.


Len was born and grew up in Red Deer. He attended south school till age 7, and then moved with his family to a farm in the Shadynook district. In the mid 60’s he started working for Coca-Cola, followed by Jubilee Beverages.


In 1975, Len married Darlene Soderburg from Dovercourt. Together they raised their four children on the family farm. They enjoyed camping, hiking, and travelling. In 2001, Len and Darlene moved into Rosedale Meadows in Red Deer, where he resided till his passing.


Len will be lovingly remembered by his spouse, Darlene; sons, Ian (Jody), Todd, Michael (Samantha); daughter, Jacqueline (Tim); sister, Jody; 6 grandchildren, as well as other family and friends.


Len was predeceased by his parents, George and Lennie; brothers, Don, Bill; sister, Phyllis.


At Len’s request there will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Stars or War Amps of Canada.
