Obituary of Sherry Lynn Mulhall
Sherry Lynn (Hayes) Mulhall, of Red Der, AB, passed away surrounded by loved ones at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on October 23, 2024.
Sherry was born in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan, on December 15, 1955. In 1957, her family moved to Swift Current, where she began her schooling. Throughout her school years, she enjoyed gymnastics, and attended Explorers and (CGIT) Canadian Girls in Training at the First United Church.
Sherry began work at an early age, starting at the Swift Current Museum as an attendant, then as a clerk at Robinsons. She also worked at the men’s department at Co-op and Tangen’s.
Sherry and Rick were married in the summer of 75’. They started their life in Medicine Hat, and eventually to Gull Lake, where they would begin their family. Rick’s work had them move around from Swift Current to Olds, back to Swift Current, and then finally to Red Deer, where they have resided for the past 29 years.
Sherry is survived by her husband of 49 years, Rick; son Chris Mulhall; daughter Cobralin (Carlis) Brochu; grandchildren Seth Schmaltz, Dakota Mulhall, River Mulhall, Tenzen Brochu, and Rori Brochu; mother, Eilieen Hayes; sisters Betty (Brian) Lacher, and Sandra (Claire) Brong; in-laws Pat (Barb) Mulhall, Kathleen Sorensen, and Rosemary Sorensen; aunties, Myrna Hayes, Carol Lawton, Loretta Schmaltz, Emily Schmaltz, Lorraine Mulhall, and Eve Sutherland; uncle Richard (Susan) Schmaltz; and by many wonderful nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her father Jim Hayes; brother Bob Hayes; in-laws Joe and Rose Mulhall; and by her brothers-in-law Garry Sorensen, and Arnold Sorensen.
