Obituary of Ronald William Pound
Ronald William Pound, 77, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 29th at the Red Deer Regional Hospital with his family by his side.
Ron was born and raised in Peterborough, Ontario on June 24, 1947, to Frederick and Maxime Pound. Younger Ron enjoyed being a drummer for his band, “Something Blue”. He always wanted to be the best dressed man in the room which lead to him working at the Barclay and later opening his own clothing store, “Ron Pound Clothier” in Peterborough. He then went on to be an outgoing and charismatic Jewellery Salesman for Northern and Eastern Ontario. Ron was loved by the many people that met him.
Ron is loved and will be dearly missed by his wife Jasmine Pound (nee Vezeau); daughter Tania David (nee Plante); grandson Jeremy Tuck; brother James Pound (Kim); nephew Bill Duff (Kathy); nieces Lindsay, Brittany (Mike), and Meggie (Odette); great nephews Brody, Dawson, Maddox, Lincoln, and Parker; great nieces Lexi, Layton, and Kaycee; best friend Jim Lacey (Caroline) and their family; and also by his in-laws, extended family, and many friends. He was pre-deceased by his beloved Aunt Marie; sister Linda Duff, and brother Richard Pound (Susan).
Following Ron’s requests, no funeral service will be held. If desired, donations can be made in Ron’s name to the Calgary Health Foundation - Pulmonary Hypertension Greatest Needs at Peter Lougheed Hospital, Calgary, AB.
