Obituary of Robert Frederick Buckland
Robert Frederick Buckland of Red Deer AB, formally of Elnora, passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on January 3, 2025 at the age of 75 years. Robert was born on July 22, 1949 in Elnora and grew up on the farm in the Trenville area. He attended school in Elnora, Lousana, and Delburne.
In his youth, Robert worked on the farm and was involved in the 4H Dairy Club. Later he was a member of the Elks, enjoyed curling.
After moving into Red Deer with his mom and dad, Robert volunteered at the Central Alberta Humane Society (SPCA).
Robert will be lovingly remembered by his brothers Tom Buckland (Shirley) and Rodger (Marian); sister Merideth Johnston (Ellis) as well as his nephews and nieces Shannon Buckland, Heather Hauser, Michael Clark, Chris Clark, Tyrel Buckland, Cassidy Johnston, and Sierra Johnston.
He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Hilda Buckland and his sister Patricia Clark.
No formal service will be held. Robert will be interred with his mom and dad in the Trenville Cemetery later this spring.
